As Chief Executive Officer the President presides at all club meetings and at regular and special meetings of the Executive Committee. The President supplies the membership with the means, knowledge, and/or opportunity to achieve their educational goals. The President also assists the Area, Division, District and Toastmasters International in meeting their goals.
Responsible for the planning of successful club meetings, so that each member achieves his/her educational goals. Assuring people achieve their CTM awards; advanced members complete various successful club series or speaker series programs. The VP/Education motivates members and tracks their progress to the next level.
Promotes membership campaigns and welcomes new members. Ensures that new members are formally inducted, receives their materials and knows who to go to for assistance in meeting their goals. Helps guests complete the application for membership.
Immediate Past President/ Area D1 & D4 Governor
Vp of PR: Promotes the club to the local media. Seeks opportunities to publicize club meetings, events and accomplishments in the newspaper, on the radio and other venues as appropriate. Serves as the newsletter Publisher. Works with the VP/Membership in marketing the club.
Imm. Past President: Provides guidance and serve as a resource to all of the club officers and members. The Immediate Past President is to assist in the preparation of the Club Success Plan and promote the club's efforts to become distinguished.
Maintains accurate records. Mails club officer list to WHQ within 10 days after elections, keeps club files as in the club charter and club bylaws, records and reads meeting minutes.
Announces when dues are due. Collects and sends dues to WHQ by October 1st and April 1st. Submits new member applications to WHQ within 48 hours of receipt. Pays bills as due, keeps club financial records and submits a treasurer's report to the members.
Maintains club equipment; arranges meeting room, makes sure club lectern, banner, nametags and other required items are in place. Greet members and guests.
